The
design of the Blade Doctor allows it to adjust (GRIP) to all blade thicknesses
(Tuuk, Lightspeed, Pitch, Pro Lite, etc.) using an engineering grade
plastic called Delrin™ by Dupont™.
The Blade Doctor grips the blade so no “slop” occurs and it centers the blade with the sharpening stone every time. The design of the sharpener allows it to interchange four (4) different size sharpening stones to match your hollow.
The two most common hollows are 1/2” radius which is a more shallow “bite” and 3/8” radius which is a deeper “bite”. These two sharpening hollows make up about 90% of the radius’ from local hockey shops.
Its always best to match your current sharpening hollow with the proper Blade Doctor sharpening kit. Ask you Grinder for best results. Remember each Blade Doctor can interchange all four (4) different size stones through its engineered design.)
