The
Blade Doctor is a product of a small hockey company called
Vision Marketing and Consulting, LLC and founded by myself, Todd Luoma.
I am a 37 year-old ex-amateur and collegiate player born in northern
Minnesota. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering
from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
After college I began skating in late night men's leagues and it became more difficult to get my skates sharpened. I loved the concept of using a hand-held sharpener and began to research the current models on the market. I developed the Blade Doctor after being frustrated with the inaccuracies and difficulties with other hand-held skate sharpeners. The Blade Doctor is the best tool to keep your edges sharp all the time, in between sharpening's, if you forgot to get them sharpened, or if you have lost an edge during practice or a game.
I did a lot of research and testing with hand sharpeners before developing the Blade Doctor™. I assure you it is the best hand-held skate sharpener on the market!
